Fed by the Rio Grande and Devils rivers and many area creeks, Lake Amistad is located about five miles northwest of Del Rio on the Texas-Mexico boarder. The lake covers about 67,000 acres.

Fish for largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, blue catfish, channel catfish, freshwater drum, white bass, striped bass, sunfish, Mexican tetra, smallmouth buffalo, carp, shad, rio grande perch, gar, and tilapia.
