Located about 2.5 miles west of Farmersville, Lake Lavon covers about 21,400 acres and is feed by the east fork of the Trinity river and area creeks.

Fish species of interest to sport fisherman include:  largemouth bass, white bass, channel and blue catfish, and crappie.
