Located on the south edge of Cooper, Cooper Lake covers about 22,740 acres and is feed by the Sulpher River and area creeks. Nearby towns include Sulpher Springs, Mount Vernon, Clarksville, Paris, Greenville and Bonham. Fish species of interest to sport fisherman include largemouth bass, catfish, crappie, white bass, and hybrid striped bass. NOTE: Cooper lake was impounded in 1991 and, therefore, does not yet appear on most maps. Texas Fishing License and Regulations
